Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has broken his silence following recent allegations of female harassment, firmly declaring his innocence and insisting that he has “done nothing wrong.”

The artist, known for his bold persona and sharp lyricism, found himself at the center of controversy after reports surfaced accusing him of cyber-harassment and blackmail. The allegations, made by an unnamed woman, claim that the rapper engaged in online intimidation and the non-consensual sharing of private materials.

In a detailed statement shared across his social media platforms, Blaqbonez whose real name is Emeka Akumefule rejected the claims outright, calling them “false, damaging, and deeply distressing.”

“I have done nothing wrong,” he wrote. “These accusations are lies meant to destroy my image and everything I’ve worked for. I’ve been a target of manipulation and blackmail for months, but I will not be silenced.”

The rapper explained that he chose to remain quiet initially to allow his legal team to handle the matter professionally, but felt compelled to speak publicly after what he described as “a coordinated attempt to smear my name.”

He revealed that legal proceedings are underway to address the situation, stressing his commitment to clear his name through lawful means. “I have always respected women and the people around me,” he added. “I will cooperate fully with the authorities to prove my innocence.”

The allegations have ignited debate across social media, with fans, colleagues, and critics divided over the issue. While some call for patience and due process, others have urged the music industry to take allegations of misconduct seriously.

Industry observers note that this case reflects a growing trend where online narratives can quickly escalate into public trials, often putting artists’ reputations at risk before legal conclusions are reached.

As of press time, no official charges have been filed, and investigations are still ongoing. Blaqbonez’s record label has declined to comment further, saying only that the matter is being handled by his legal representatives.

Despite the controversy, the rapper remains active online, expressing gratitude to fans for their support. “The truth will always win,” he wrote in a follow-up post. “I stand by my integrity, and I refuse to be broken.”
