Nollywood actor Lateef Adedimeji has sparked fresh reactions online after making an optimistic declaration to his wife, actress Mo Bimpe, as they ushered in the New Year.

Sharing loved-up photos of the couple on social media, Lateef expressed gratitude to God for their journey together and confidently declared that 2026 would be their best year yet.

“Welcome to 2026. Stepping into the new year together with my favourite person. 2026 is about to be our best year, baby,” the actor wrote. He added prayers for divine guidance, protection and grace for the year ahead, expressing hope that it would be a great year not just for them, but for everyone.

The post has drawn attention amid ongoing pregnancy rumours surrounding the couple, although neither Lateef nor Mo Bimpe addressed the speculation directly.

The pair, who have often shared affectionate messages online, celebrated their wedding anniversary last year with heartfelt tributes. Lateef described Mo Bimpe as the greatest gift of his life, while she referred to him as her best friend, safe haven and winning partner.

To mark the anniversary, the actor surprised his wife with a room filled with roses, flowers and cake, revealing that he planned the gesture in the early hours of the morning. He praised her as God’s gift to him, calling her his peace, joy and answered prayers.

Their colleague, Olayinka Solomon, also offered prayers for the couple at the time, expressing hope that they would soon be called “Baba and Mama Ibeji.”

In a past interview, Lateef opened up about proposing to Mo Bimpe over the phone and addressed the online trolling his wife faces over childbirth, reaffirming his unwavering love and support for her.

The actor has repeatedly credited Mo Bimpe as a source of inspiration, saying she pushes him to be a better person and expressing his desire to continue growing and learning about love with her.
