Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu has publicly defended his friend and fellow actress Tonto Dikeh following a public dispute with a car dealer. Social media activist Verydarkman had alleged that Dikeh physically attacked the car dealer over an outstanding debt.
In a video posted by Verydarkman, Tonto Dikeh is seen in a heated argument with the car dealer, who claimed she still owed N2 million for a car purchased in installments for N86 million a year ago. Verydarkman criticized the actress for allegedly contradicting her public stance against bullying and oppression.
Responding to the accusations, Uche Maduagwu came to Dikeh’s defense, asserting that he had been in contact with her throughout the day and questioned the validity of the car dealer’s claims. He emphasized Dikeh’s previous payments, stating:
“I’ve been on the phone all day with my sister Tontolet. I will not reveal some details now. How is it possible that a woman who paid 84 Million Naira for a brand new car within five months, as agreed, cannot pay the remaining 2 Million Naira balance? Even if it were me, I would have stormed the office. Wait, so we are supposed to believe Verydarkman’s claims without evidence, just because he accused Bobrisky of something without proof? If Tonto Dikeh were a man, would this car dealer have acted the same way?”
Maduagwu’s defense highlights ongoing tensions and scrutiny surrounding the public figures involved, as the dispute continues to unfold in the media.
