Tiwa Savage Reveals Olamide Rejected N100 Million for a Verse on Her Song

Popular songstress Tiwa Savage has disclosed that renowned rapper Olamide rejected a payment of N100 million for a verse on her song.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, Tiwa explained that Olamide, the owner of the YBNL record label, declined the payment after his management initially billed her. She noted that Olamide refused to charge her due to his awareness of the hardships female artists face in the music industry.

Discussing their sibling-like bond, Tiwa expressed her gratitude to Olamide for his supportive and caring nature towards her.

“I was talking to his management, I did not want to talk to him directly because he would want to do it for free. I was willing to pay and his team charged me N100m. When Olamide asked them who the artist was, he just said NO. He won’t take it,” she explained.

“He said I’m his sister and he knows how difficult it is for a woman to make it in the industry. And guess what? He gave the verse for free. Good people exist and Baddo is one,” she added.
