Experts, cultural leaders, and policymakers are calling on Nigerians to embrace the nation’s cultural diversity as a tool for unity, warning that ignoring this richness could deepen divisions and threaten social stability. The message was delivered at the recent Cultural Harmony Forum in Abuja, which brought together scholars, youth leaders, and community representatives from across the country.
“Culture can either be a bridge that connects us or a wall that separates us,” said Dr. Aisha Bello, a leading sociologist and keynote speaker. “Nigeria’s diversity is a strength, but only if we use it to foster understanding and cooperation.”
The forum explored practical ways to strengthen cultural cohesion.
