Hitsound, the Nigerian music producer, has embarked on a remarkable journey to break the Guinness World Record for the longest music recording session.
Born Joshua Abba Jeremiah, known as Hitsound, is taking on the daring challenge of setting a new Guinness World Record for the longest recording marathon with multiple artists.
This extraordinary attempt commenced on September 28, 2023, with Hitsound’s ambitious goal to sustain the recording session for a staggering 72 hours.
In joining this endeavor, Hitsound follows in the footsteps of other notable figures in the Nigerian music industry, such as DJ Obi, Khafi, and DJ Yin, who have all made valiant efforts to secure Guinness World Records.
DJ Yin, for instance, made headlines when she successfully DJ-ed for an impressive 243 hours and 30 minutes (equivalent to 11 days) from September 20 to October 1, 2021, at The Grill by Yanna in Ikoyi, Lagos. Her remarkable achievement surpassed DJ Obi’s previous record of 240 hours set in 2016.
Nigerians and well-wishers alike extend their best wishes to Hitsound as he embarks on this record-breaking endeavor.
