David Ombugadu, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Nasarawa State, has called for calm and unity among his supporters after the Supreme Court reaffirmed Governor Abdullahi Sule as the winner of the March 18, 2023, governorship election.
In a personally signed statement, Ombugadu expressed gratitude to his supporters and the people of Nasarawa State, acknowledging their unwavering support during the election and the subsequent legal proceedings that concluded at the Supreme Court. “Though the court’s verdict did not align with our expectations, let us remember that our shared values and dedication to the betterment of Nasarawa State remain steadfast,” he said. Expressing gratitude for the trust and belief placed in him, Ombugadu recognized the collective efforts of his supporters, which he considered a source of strength.
As they navigate the path forward, Ombugadu urged his supporters to uphold the spirit of unity and resilience that defines Nasarawa State. He emphasized that, together, they can contribute to the progress and development of the state despite the challenges.
