Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, popularly known as Mr Eazi, has made a surprising revelation about his music career. The renowned singer and entrepreneur confessed that he never initially aspired to be a musician and that his entry into the music industry was purely accidental.

A trained mechanical engineer, Mr Eazi stumbled into the world of music without any preconceived intentions. However, despite his rapid rise to fame, he found himself questioning his path after performing at Coachella in 2019, just three years into his musical journey. At that moment, he realized that he didn’t feel the fulfillment he had anticipated.

In a recent interview with media personality Angela Lee, the ‘Skin Tight’ crooner explained that he decided to diversify into the tech industry as a means to address the burnout he was experiencing in his musical career. He founded a tech company called Zagadat Capital as a testament to this new direction.

Mr Eazi candidly shared, “I have a tech company called Zagadat Capital. And this was like me being bored of music. After performing at Coachella in 2019, I came down from the stage and I felt nothing. No happiness. No sadness. For somebody who never wanted to be an artist, and in the third year of my career, I’m playing Coachella and I felt nothing.”

Recognizing that he needed a change, Mr Eazi embarked on a journey of self-discovery. He acknowledged that the music industry had opened doors to people and capital, providing him with opportunities beyond his initial expectations. Consequently, he decided to explore entrepreneurship further and even likened his aspirations to those of renowned artist and entrepreneur, Jay-Z.

Looking ahead, Mr Eazi revealed plans to expand his business ventures. In addition to his tech endeavors, he announced his intention to invest in the movie industry starting from the next year. This multifaceted artist and entrepreneur continues to evolve, leaving an indelible mark in both the music and business worlds.
