Lagos, Nigeria – Wunmi Aloba, the widow of late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has publicly responded to recent accusations leveled against her by her step-sister, Karimot, and media figure Martins Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman (VDM).

In a recent Instagram post, Wunmi addressed the claims made by Karimot, who alleged that Wunmi had a heated argument with Mohbad, also known as the “Peace” singer, shortly before his death. Karimot also claimed that Wunmi had taken the singer’s phone, which contained private information, and failed to return it.

These accusations have been echoed by VDM, who suggested on August 15 that both Wunmi and actress Iyabo Ojo might have knowledge about the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death, urging them to come forward with information.

In response, Wunmi shared a cryptic message on her Instagram stories, implying that she has faced significant challenges in the past and is unfazed by the current accusations. “I have faced many storms; I’m not worried about small raindrops,” she wrote.

The post sparked a variety of reactions from fans and followers, with some expressing support for Wunmi, while others questioned the motives behind the ongoing scrutiny.

One user, @oluchukwu_____, commented, “Any woman that sees a DNA test as a big deal is a suspect,” while another, @percksss__, expressed concern, saying, “I’m still wondering why people are still disturbing this young lady. It’s bad enough she lost her husband! But to be constantly bullied and insulted on social media because of that same husband is very disheartening.”

Others, like @sauceprince1, offered words of encouragement: “Within all of us, there is a storm. Some believe it will never end, but he who has faith in the heavens will weather any storm.”

As the situation continues to unfold, many are calling for an end to the online harassment, urging those with legitimate claims to take legal action rather than perpetuate cyberbullying.
