Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has marked her 48th birthday with a bold declaration of triumph, saying she has taken charge of her life, achieved success, and risen above her critics.
Sharing photos of herself dressed in a white suit, the actress described herself as a “QueenMother,” stating that she has owned her place, ruled her world, and conquered her enemies as she celebrated another year.
In the lead-up to her birthday, Iyabo hinted that her journey was far from over, telling fans that she was only just getting started.
The actress has remained in the public spotlight in recent months amid controversies and challenges. In November, she dismissed rumours of her alleged arrest in Abuja, accusing those spreading the claims of using her name to generate online traffic and revenue. She described herself as a special being and condemned the false reports.

Earlier in May, Iyabo confirmed that she was invited by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over the spraying of money at her daughter’s wedding. She explained that she had believed only the abuse or mutilation of the naira was an offence and said the commission clarified the law to her.
In July, some individuals staged a protest in Lagos, chanting hostile slogans against her in connection with the late singer Mohbad’s case. Responding at the time, Iyabo said she never accused any specific person of causing Mohbad’s death, adding that she and her children had faced repeated threats, harassment and public violence over the years without adequate intervention.
That same month, her office building was damaged by fire. She later expressed gratitude to the Nigerian Fire Service and her staff for salvaging the situation and thanked God that no lives were lost. Weeks later, she shared footage of the renovated office, thanking God for restoration after what she described as a period of testing.

As she celebrates her birthday, Iyabo Ojo appears determined to focus on her resilience, personal growth and continued success despite the controversies surrounding her.
