In an interview with Hip TV, the sensational Nigerian singer formerly known as Buju, now going by BNXN, expressed his astonishment upon being announced as the recipient of the esteemed 2022 Headies Next Rated award.
Defeating industry rival Ruger and other talented artists, the “Finesse” crooner emerged as the victor, walking away with the coveted prize of a brand new Bentley BENTAYGA SUV.
BNXN revealed that prior to the event, he had purchased a car for himself as a consolation in case he didn’t secure the Bentley.
“I was really stunned [winning a Bentley], mainly because I wasn’t expecting it. I thought it would take me a longer time to get a Bentley. I just got a car before that award show because I didn’t want to be pressured by losing the car [Bentley] or not. So, I had to buy another car separately to compensate myself,” shared BNXN.
He continued, “But when I won, I was really stunned. Even when they shipped it and brought it to Lagos, it was another ‘Wow! It’s right here.’ I was really excited.”
