Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, renowned as the presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general elections, conveyed profound sorrow on Tuesday following the tragic demise of a devoted campaign supporter, Muhammad Dakat.
Muhammad Dakat, who held the pivotal role of Director General for the National Solidarity Movement for Atiku/Okowa (NSM) during the 2023 election campaign, met an untimely end. The loss of this committed advocate casts a somber shadow over the ongoing electioneering campaign, reflecting the emotional resonance of his contributions and dedication to the cause.
Atiku, in a statement on Tuesday, declared: “As Director General of the National Solidarity Movement for Atiku/Okowa (NSM), Muhammad brought a huge dose of enthusiasm and inspiration to the assignment of mobilizing compatriots in the last general election.
“Even after the election, he was unwavering in his commitment to the cause.
“Muhammad was a rallying point for young people and a natural leader who led by his convictions and personal example.
“We have lost one of the most Atikulated members of our family at such a young age.”
