Nigerian music sensation, Ahmed Ololade, known as Asake, has shared insights into his decision to prioritize a career in music over dance, citing financial ambitions as the primary driver.

In a recent interview, Asake clarified that he opted for a music path because he had reservations about whether dancing alone could bring him the level of financial success he aspired to achieve.

He candidly explained, “The reason I left dance is for my love for money. I want to be very honest. Dance is something that I love. But I’m not sure dance can give me the kind of money I want.”

Asake went on to highlight that even in the music industry, dance remains an integral part of performances, emphasizing the financial considerations behind his choice. “Even if you want to make it so gangster-like and there are so many people bumping, you still need to use the dancers. So, as they work together, I think for the love of money, I’d rather be singing,” he stated.

When asked whether he would consider returning to dancing if it led to significant success, Asake affirmed that he would not abandon music but would combine both music and dance to maximize his earnings.
